TRAINING NEWS
With the holidays behind us, we move into the 2008 training season ready for another exciting year of training! We have expanded our mobile training programs and are offering even more classes and training opportunities across the country then we had last year! Take a moment to browse the
2008 Training Schedule, and you'll find a variety of courses offered by Team Spartan and our Strategic Partners, ready to serve your training needs.

If you are looking to continue your firearms training during the winter months to keep your shooting skills honed, you may want to consider training with one of the largest shooting leagues in the region, the North Suburban Police Pistol League (NSPPL).

The NSPPL offers a variety of shooting venues to compete in, offering matches in Combat (both open and duty classes), bullseye, off-duty handgun, snub nose revolver, long range rifle and 3-gun.

The NSPPL also conducts an Annual Awards Banquet at the end of each shooting season, recognizing the top shooters of the league in 6 ranking catagories for each venue. The NSPPL offers one of the most impressive prize tables in the shooting industry, with over 50 firearms given away at last years banquet!

2008 SHOT SHOW - Law Vegas, Nevada

Team Spartan and the DS Arms Law Enforcement Training Division will be displaying products and training course information at the 2008 SHOT SHOW in vendor booth # 3698.

This year's SHOT SHOW convention will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, February 2nd – 5th, 2008.

Be sure to stop by and check out our new Spartan 5.56 ZM-4 and .308 SA58 rifles, and other new products we are releasing for 2008. See you there!

International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association - Annual Training Conference

Team Spartan and the DS Arms Law Enforcement Training Division are proud to announce that we

will have a vendor booth on display at the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association's (ILEETA) 5th Annual Training Conference in Wheeling, Illinois April 1st – 5th, 2008.

The DS Arms Law Enforcement Training Division will also be presenting the DS Arms FAL SA58 Rifle Armorer Course and the Edged Weapons Defense Course at this year’s conference.

These classes filled quickly last year so be sure to get your ILEETA registration in early! Last year’s conference sold out fast and registration was stopped at 750 students! ILEETA's Executive Director

Ed Nowicki is saying that this year’s conference is going to sell out as well, and registration for 2008 will be stopped at 800 students. Get registered ASAP and we’ll see you at the conference!
Brian Hoffner - Hoffner's Training Division - Contract Classes

We are proud to announce that the Hoffners Training Division has joined the Team Spartan Network as a Strategic Partner and will be sponsoring contract classes with Brian Hoffner across the country!

Brian has over 30 years of military and law enforcement experience and is a Master Peace Officer in Texas. He is the senior firearms instructor and defensive tactics instructor for the 4th largest law enforcement agency in the country and has over 7000 hours of training as an operator, instructor and armorer.

Known and respected as a leader in his field, Brian has made numerous presentations at ASLET, IALEFI, TTPOA and LETC training conferences, earning recognition on national and international levels.

Brian brings his unique style of intensity driven tactics and techniques, teaching his SoSu system using empty hands, knife, pistol, shotgun and rifle. Brian has presented his Code of the Warrior lecture and trained thousands of civilians and law enforcement personnel across the country.

Action Target (LETC) - Advanced Law Enforcement Training Camp

Action Target will once again be running two Law Enforcement Training Camps (LETC) for 2008.
The LETC's will be held on the following dates:

 - LETC West - September 8th - 12th, 2008 in Provo, Utah

 - LETC South - TBA - November 2008 in Baton Rouge , Louisiana

These exciting firearms instructor development camps are packed with over a dozen world class presentations from some of the top law enforcement trainers in the country! You'll attend classes with different instructors each day for 4 days and have an opportunity to network with fellow firearms instructors from agencies across the country! The LETC also offers you an opportunity to show off your skills in the classic "Dirty Harry" pistol competition where instructor students compete for prizes and bragging rights!
