NORTH SUBURBAN POLICE PISTOL LEAGUE - NSPPL
The North Suburban Police Pistol League (NSPPL) offers a variety of shooting venues to compete in, offering matches in Combat (both open and duty classes), bullseye, off-duty handgun, snub nose revolver, long range rifle and 3-gun. The NSPPL also conducts an Annual Awards Banquet at the end of each shooting season, recognizing the top shooters of the league in 6 ranking catagories for each venue. The NSPPL offers one of the most impressive prize tables in the shooting industry, with over 50 firearms given away at last years banquet! 31st Annual SHOT SHOW - Orlando, Florida
Team Spartan and the DS Arms Law Enforcement Training Division will be at the 2009 SHOT SHOW coming up in January 2009. The 2009 SHOT SHOW will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, January 15 - 18, 2009. Come visit us at booth # 1133 and check out some of DS Arms hot new products for 2009. See you there!
International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association - Annual Training Conference
Team Spartan and the DS Arms Law Enforcement Training Division are proud to announce that we will have a vendor booth on display at the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association's (ILEETA) 6th Annual Training Conference in Wheeling, Illinois April 20th – 25th, 2009. The DS Arms Law Enforcement Training Division will also be presenting the DS Arms FAL SA58 Rifle Armorer Course and the Edged Weapons Defense Course at this year’s conference. These classes filled quickly last year so be sure to get your ILEETA registration in early! Last year’s conference sold out fast and registration was stopped at 750 students! ILEETA's Executive Director Ed Nowicki is saying that this year’s conference is going to sell out as well, and registration for 2009 will be stopped at 800 students. Get registered ASAP and be sure to stop by and see us!
Chicago FOP Lodge # 7 - Firearm Safety Day & Vendor Expo
The Chicago FOP Lodge # 7 will once again be hosting it's Annual Firearm Safety Day & Vendor Expo on May 27 - 28, 2009. The event is attended by manufacturer certified armorers from Beretta, Colt, Glock, Sigarms, Ruger and Smith & Wesson, who offer FREE preventive maintenance inspections on police officers duty related weapons. The event will also host vendor displays from various law enforcement firearms & equipment companies for officers to review while they wait to have their firearms cleaned and inspected. Additional companies offering vendor displays include: Boston Leather, Diamondback Tactical, Springfield Armory, DS Arms and more! Manufacturers recommend that officers have their duty weapons inspected once per year or every 2500 rounds. If you haven't had your duty weapon inspected recently, take advantage of this service offered by the FOP and bring your duty weapons in for a FREE inspection.
2009 Illinois Police Association - Combat Matches
The Harvey Police Department will host Illinois Police Association combat and bullseye matches again in 2009 at the Harvey Police Department range in May and June. These matches will also be co-sponsored by the North Suburban Police Pistol League. Match dates at Harvey PD range are set for - May 20th, 2009 and June 17th, 2009. 2009 Action Target (LETC) - Law Enforcement Training Camp
Action Target will once again be running the Law Enforcement Training Camp (LETC) for 2009. The LETC will be held on the following dates: - LETC West - September 14th - 18th, 2009 in Provo, Utah This exciting firearms instructor development camp is packed with over a dozen world class presentations from some of the top law enforcement trainers in the country! You'll attend classes with different instructors each day for 4 days and have an opportunity to network with fellow firearms instructors from agencies across the country! The LETC also offers you an opportunity to show off your skills in the classic "Dirty Harry" pistol competition where instructor students compete for prizes and bragging rights! Theres no down time here! If you like to shoot, and you're looking for a fun and exciting training conference to attend, the LETC is for you! INSTRUCTOR STAFF DEVELOPMENTS
To work on staff as an instructor with Team Spartan, we require that all of our instructors maintain the ability to perform on demand, all drills and courses of fire that we ask our students to perform. To maintain this level of performance, our instructors continuously attend training programs and instructor training conferences with other agencies and organizations to stay razor sharp!
