Vince also served as a full-time firearms instructor at the Chicago Police Academy and was the lead instructor for the Chicago Police Department's 40-hour Patrol Rifle Operator Certification Course.
In 2010, Vince took a short hiatus from law enforcement and served a one-year contract overseas in Afghanistan with a Department of State private security contractor company.
Upon his return in 2011, Vince reinstated with the Chicago Police Department and resumed his firearms instructor duties.
Vince is a recipient of the State of Illinois Medal of Honor, Award of Valor, Distinguished Service Award and numerous department commendations and awards for his actions in the line of duty, including the January 2009 NLEOMF Officer of the Month Award.
Vince is a United States Army veteran and has served with the 21st and 27th infantry Battalions as an infantry team leader, ammunition specialist and nuclear / biological and chemical warfare specialist. He is air assault, airborne and ranger qualified and served as an instructor for 2 years at the infantry school in Fort Benning. |
