Post-Incident Legal Defense Support: This training curriculum meets ILETSB training standards. Curriculum materials; lesson plan, course itinerary, syllabus with SPO’s, student performance records, instructor certification credentials and list of supporting reference materials are available for post-incident legal defense depositions and legal defense litigation discovery.
Course Description: This comprehensive 2-day firearms training course introduces the student to the AR-15 / M-4 rifle. During this course, students will learn how to operate one of the most prolific weapon systems used for personal defense by civilians and law enforcement officers across the country!
Students will become familiarized with the AR-15 / M-4 rifle platform and will learn the basic gun-handling skills that are necessary to safely operate and maintain this weapon system.
Students will also learn about nomenclature, disassembly / reassembly, mechanical operation, care & cleaning, preventive maintenance, zeroing iron sights & electronic sights, shooting positions and much more.
We have student loaner rifles, magazines and slings available upon request.
The Introduction to the AR-15 / M-4 Rifle Certification Course - or firearms training course of equivalent level - is a pre-requisite to attend the following firearms training courses:

Course student limit: 16
Student requirements: Note pad and pen, eye protection, ear protection, baseball type cap, AR-15 or M-4 type rifle with iron sights and / or electronic sight, sling and at least (3) 30-round magazines, elbow pads, knee pads and gun cleaning kit.
Recommended equipment: Rifle magazine carriers, rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration system, water and clothing suitable for contact with the ground.
Equipment requirements: If you are using an electronic / red dot sight, it must be capable of zero magnification. We also recommend having back-up iron sights on your rifle in case your electronic sight goes down.
This course will be limited to Patrol Duty use rifles and Personal Defense use type rifles only. 3-gun competition configured rifles will not be allowed in this course!
Standard personal defense trigger-pull weight should be between 6 - 4.5 pounds. Any rifles with competition style triggers less than 4.5 pounds will be disqualified for use in this course.
Ammunition requirements: 450 rounds of .223 / 5.56 rifle ammunition (Ammunition is available for purchase upon request)
Ammunition must be new manufacture (Federal, Remington, Winchester, etc.)
Absolutely no reloaded or remanufactured ammunition!
