Non-LEO training pre-requisite: Our 3-day Defensive Handgun Certification Course or firearms training course of equivalent level. (Contingent to student's prior training review by our instructor staff)
Law Enforcement Officers that have completed their state certified Basic Law Enforcement Academy Certification training meet the pre-requisite handgun training standards for this course.
Post-Incident Legal Defense Support: This training curriculum meets ILETSB training standards. Curriculum materials; lesson plan, course itinerary, syllabus with SPO’s, student performance records, instructor certification credentials and list of supporting reference materials are available for post-incident legal defense depositions and legal defense litigation discovery.
Course Description: This intense training course focuses on developing aggressive combat gun-handling skills that are necessary for deploying a handgun from concealment for personal defense.
This is an excellent training course for concealed carry permit holders and law enforcement officers working plain clothes and carrying off-duty, that carry their firearms concealed on their person regularly.
Students will work the entire class from concealment and will develop reflexive gun-handling skills and tactical speed shooting concepts that will enable them to quickly and efficiently draw and engage threats from close quarter engagement distances out to 10 yards.
Moving off the line of force, lateral displacement and multi-tasking during threat engagement will be emphasized throughout this course while shooting with two hands and alternating right hand only and left hand only engagement sequences.
This is a fast paced, physically demanding firearms training course! Students should be in good physical condition, familiar with their equipment and have solid intermediate gun handling skills established prior to attending this firearms training course.

Student
requirements: Note pad & pen, eye protection, ear protection, baseball type cap, concealment garment (jacket, shirt or vest), heavy-duty leather or nylon pants belt, reliable concealment holster, magazine carriers, personal defense handgun with at least (3) standard capacity magazines or (5) single stack magazines, handgun cleaning kit and gun oil / CLP.
Recommended equipment: Rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration system and water.
Inside-the-waistband (IWB) holsters and Appendix-inside-the waistband (AIWB) holsters will be allowed, but must be examined and approved by the instructors prior to use in the class.
Shoulder holsters, cross-draw holsters, fanny pack holsters or ankle holsters will not be allowed in this class!
Ammunition requirements: 700 rounds (Minimum)
(Ammunition is available
for purchase upon request.)
Pistol Mounted Optic / Red Dot Sight handguns are allowed in this course.
This course will be limited to Personal Defense handguns that are designed to be carried for personal protection. Competition pistols will not be allowed in this course.
