Pre-requisite: Students that have successfully completed the 2-day Semi-automatic Pistol Skills Course or Spartan Tactical's 2-day Illinois Concealed Carry Handgun License Certification Course are eligible to attend this course.
Post-Incident Legal Defense Support: Training curriculum materials; lesson plan, course itinerary, syllabus with SPO’s, student performance records, instructor certification credentials and list of supporting reference materials are available for post-incident legal defense depositions and legal defense litigation discovery.
Course Description: This 1-day firearms training course focuses on enhancement of defensive shooting skills and combat gun-handling skills with the semi-automatic pistol.
Students will learn enhanced dry-practice and live-fire techniques that focus on development of combat gun-handling skills in preparation for use of the semi-automatic pistol for home defense, concealed carry and personal defense applications.
This course will also cover the introductory elements of combat mindset, situational awareness, principals of personal defense and the physiological response & reaction of the human body under duress.
Students that successfully pass the timed Defensive Handgun Qualification Course will be certified to operate live-fire from the holster and will also receive a certified marksmanship rating of Marksman, Sharpshooter or Expert class.

(Tuition fee includes all range fees and use of loaner firearms)
Course student limit: 14
Student requirements: Notepad and pen, eye protection, ear protection, baseball type cap, heavy-duty leather or nylon pants belt, holster and magazine carriers, personal defense pistol with at least (3) standard capacity magazines or (5) single stack magazines, handgun cleaning kit and gun oil / CLP.
Recommended equipment: Rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration system and water. (For outdoor classes only)
Ammunition requirements: 250 rounds (minimum)
(Ammunition is available for purchase upon request)
Pistol Mounted Optic / Red Dot Sight handguns are allowed in this course.
This course will be limited to Personal Defense handguns that are designed to be carried for personal protection. Competition configured pistols will not be allowed in this course.
